Web Page Creating With MS Publisher

My brother is creating an encyclopedia of information for a project of his. He is using MS Publisher 2002 to enter all the info across several pages with links to different pages on different subjects. Like a wiki.

Its only for himself and his friend. He wants to be able to save the document as a web page and for it to be viewable on IE/Firefox etc as if it were a web site.

He'll probably run into many small problems, this is the first. When viewing your document in a 'web page preview' rather than it being in the middle, the written text appears slightly to the left. How do you centre it or/and get rid of these gaps to the sides?

Ive seen websites in what looks like an A4 format with the sides in a colour or advertisement (like this). How do you do this?

The example you gave is made using .asp script. Its quite far from making a web page using Publisher...

Is your brother familiar with web page coding?

Nope. Neither am I. If theres a better way to go about what he is trying to create im all ears.

Its hard to do it, and the programs that simplify it are expensive.

I honestly think that for a basic, personal encyclopaedia like this, simply coding it in HTML would be simpler, albeit a little basic and more time consuming, but you will not run into small problems like this, though.

I'll tell you now that you cant do it with publisher... I have made a site with publisher, in fact its still probably up as it was for the University. But if you have any trouble with publisher, go to the M$ help on their site... anyways, I had the same problem and eventually found out that you cant do it with publisher, and another drawback is that it cannot scale to fit different resolutions like you can with most site by doing ctrl+scroll.

Personally, I do all HTML coding by hand. If you gave me the HTML, I could tell you how to fix the HTML, but I can't tell you how to achieve that in some prettified HTML editor like MS Publisher.
