    Default 8800GTX In Gateway GT5228

My brother wants me to upgrade his computer so that he can play video games on his computer that require higher graphical settings. I know that if I do, I'll need to put in a new power supply, and I have that covered, but the video card is the only problem.

His computer has Vista on it, since you can upgrade it for free with the computer he got, he also wants the best card so he won't have to upgrade for a long time. The computers case style is Micro-BTX, so do you think an 8800GTX will fit inside the case?

Here is a pic but it does not show much:

I’m surprised that you can get an AMD processor for BTX style cases, I thought BTX was almost exclusive to Intel, meh.

You best off buying a GTX and if it doesn’t fit the case (you’re brothers motherboard has PCIe 16x so know worries there but when I say fit I mean physically fitting inside the case) send it back and try the GTS.

I'm going to get a new PSU if I can fit the graphics card in it, as for the mobo, I'll try to find out what kind it has.

    Salaam and thanks,

Ok I found about the Mobo by using CPUZ:

    Manufacturer: First International Computer, Inc.
    Model: K2BC51G/PV
    Chip set: NVIDIA GeForce 6100
    South Bridge: NForce 410/430 MCP
    Sensor: 7803

What's the cpu on the thing? It may just end up crazily bottlenecking the monster 8800GTX.
