Changing unit speed?
Everytime halberdiers and pikemen become available to use in my games, I gradually become infuriated as I begin to make armies with them. It's not even the micromanagement that's required to actually get them work. This mod, and my own flexibility, let me deal with that. What I find really irritating is how different their marching speeds are with everything else.
While my pikemen are zooming ahead with their comically fast marching animation when out of guard mode, my halberdiers mind as well be walking the other direction because they're moving so slow. I can see how some units may RUN slower then others, due to physical weight and to maintain a formation, but to have such a wide disparity in MARCHING speed baffles me as to what the hell CA was thinking
I searched around and it seems that you can't just change a number to equalize all the units marching speed, as that is linked to their animation. However, it seems you can mix the animations around. For instance, eastern halberdier units apparently march faster then western. Also, it also seems like, although difficult, it wouldn't be entirely impossible to alter the animations themselves either.
I'm no modder, and I love everything done with LTC. There's just this one thing that continues to bug me, and effectively make me think twice about using these units altogether. So I'd just like to get some feedback on what might be done from a kick ass modder's point of view to address this.

Re: Changing unit speed?
No you cannot make the unit faster by just changing the animation as that would mean they wouldn't be able to use spearwall.
