my first unit!

After hours and hours of studying on tutorials, i finally created something!

It's not so good... but i am very happy because i have understood the mechanism!

They are Hoplites of Thesbiae who fought in the thermopylae too.

Of course it needs Ui cards and other things to be finished

cool, i like the colour you went for and the shield is interesting. i'm sure with practice you'll only get better.

what program do you guys do this with?

I used 3dsmax for the model .cas and Photoshop CS for the texture

There are a lot of tutorial about it

Nice, different...You need to learn about alpha channels so you get rid of the black bits on the shield, but apart from that this is one of the better 'first units' I've seen..

You can expect a call from the hosted mods any time soon..

. I really like the way you kept the shield simple. I hate the way some modders do wierd things with the units shield like putting random pictures on them from like 1000 years after RTW is set

To get shield wall you have to give them shorter spears and run RTW though BI. I can't remember how but it has something to do with -mod command line

If you add shield wall you'll just get a CTD or it just won't work because shield wall is only in BI.

You are right it didnt work...

Im gonna install BI so....

i have installed the BI but now how can i make the Shield_wall avaiable for Rome total War (rtw without BI)???
help...

Unfortunately, there is not enough with having BI installed. Add the unit to your RTW install (i.e. the main data folder) and then you have to run RTW using the BI.exe file. The instructions provided in this link might help you:

Thank you very much it helped a lot! I've tried the shield wall and i realized that it was not what i thought
