New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
I am going to create a new mod based on the crisis of the third century as I think the was one of the most major events in Roman Empire. It will spand from 235AD to 284AD. It will include new factions, new unit skins, army reforms, events, a new map and much more.

Re: New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
probabaly but I shall tell you how I can get reforms - I will create new units, skins etc and in the descr_buildings (the file is called something similar to that) and I shall put that AM thing after the create unit line has ended. I can also change what the army reform event says by modifing the events text in the text file and maybe add a new picture. I will also put a specific date for the reforms in the events text in the imperial campaign folder.

Re: New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
dre123,if you want to create a great MOD,dont work in many mods at one time, make your skills directed at one mod, finish it,and start a new one.
i think i saw you working in 3 mods until now,in one time!!

Re: New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
Are you going to make this alone? Making a huge mod like this alone is crazy. Have you ever made a mod before? Trying to make a huge mod alone on your first go is like trying to climb a 100 foot stairway in one step.

Re: New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
hmmm I just announced my new mod. from 193 to 285 CE so maybe you want to work together and we can make one big mod out of it?
I mean we're planning to use the same era and I was thinking about some reforms and stuff as well. I already did lots of work on the descr_strat for the civil war in 193 and if you want to we could talk and see if we have some ideas.

Re: New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
Just an issue: as far as I know, it is not possible to make the "Marian Reforms" event happen in a certain date. At least, my attempts to do so have failed. The Marian Reforms take place when an Imperial Palace is built in a settlement with the "italy" hidden resource. What is worse, creating the building via script does not produce the event either.
Another issue is to make the Reforms in the Europa Barbarorum way. I.e. using a script and the EDB file.
Hope this helps and best of luck. This is really a good idea!

Re: New Mod - The Crisis of The Third Century
Reforms do not occur like that with me plus in the events.txt in the imperial campaign folder there is a marian reforms event but it has ; or something similar to that at the start which disables it so you just need to remove that and then have a ceratin date for the event.
SSJ VegetaTrunks - I would say that I am quite an experienced modder but I cannot create units or skins or anything like that. However I am very good at modding the campaign map for example in my Conquests of Trajan mod which I created all by myself, I took the campaign map then extended it to India using the Invasio Barbarorum map and then I deleted all the regions and created new ones.
These are the mods I have created all by myself
The Conquests of Trajan - All versions + 4tpy script
Sassanid Mod - My latest release
Alexander 12tpy script

and I am currently working on this mod (the crisis of the third century) and a mod called Mesepotamia Total War. I am currently trying to create updates for all my mods aswell.
LC Cinna - I will have to think about your proposal for a number of reasons.
