named and numbered legions

how do you give legions their number and name???

In BI you go to the base file and there should be a text file called regions or descr_regions or something similar to that. Inside this file there is a whole load of stuff, below the name of a province there should be the name of a legion which you can just edit.

Or you can create several different types of legionaries, naming them X, XI, XII and so on, and assign them to different areas of the empire by adding hidden resources.

Ok i found it in that file. but how can you apply a name in an already recruited legion??

I have not tried this myself but sometimes with other things such as faction colours you can just load up your saved game and it may in your case have changed the name of the legion
