I tried to get some extra units be available for the huge wall, but nothing seems to be working. It keeps reverting back to original settings. I put the io code file_first = true, and that didnt work, and i really dont know whats going on to make it revert back.

Are you sure you put the settings in the config file? If not try and use the modswitch method that you can find out how to do here.
