Re-Install Help?

I had to uninstall RTW because I installed some units and they wouldn't work but even when I put in the backup files the game still won't work. So I uninstalled it but when I try to re-install it I get an error message saying that there is an earlier version of RTW on my computer. I remember that you have to delete something but I can't remember where it is. Help would be really appreciated.

How exactly did you uninstall it? You didn't just delete random stuff, did you?

I used the uninstaller to uninstall the whole game

Check Add and remove programs and if it's there remove it, I had that problem at some point and thats how I sorted it

Nope its not in there. I checked. This happened to me before and I had to delete a file but it was in a really strange folder
