    Default Napoleon's Ambitions

    Does anyone knows smth about it .
    More then it said in announcement ,when you start EU 3,of course.
    I wonder how would it work - only 28 extra years ?
    Would it be downloadable or retail
    and ... last but not least when would it be released ?

    Fitz Salnarville, Duke William's favourite knyghte,
    To noble Edelwarde his life dyd yielde;
    Withe hys tylte launce hee stroke with thilk a myghte,
    The Norman's bowels steemde upon the feeld.
    Old Salnarville beheld hys son lie ded, 235
    Against Erie Edelward his bowe-strynge drewe;
    But Harold at one blowe made tweine his head;
    He dy'd before the poignant arrowe flew.
    So was the hope of all the issue gone,
    And in one battle fell the sire and son

    Its supposed to be released in "Late Summer 2007" last I heard.

    It makes the game go from 1453 to 1820. "...aims to expand on EUIII, with an improved interface, enhanced trade system, expanded options and greater content to cover the extended time period."

    It will be download only from Gamersgate apparently.

    That's all I know... Haven't read much about what's actually i it.

    They try to finish the product next week, though that does nothing say about the release. There has not been an official date so far.

    You can read through Paradox' development diaries to get more insight in the features of NA.

    Concerning your questions: you can only download it through gamersgate (the developers say the last time they listened to the community and brought out Victoria Revolutions on CD it was a commercial disaster). It's to be released by the end august, possibly even as soon as the end of next week.

    Personally I think NA will add quite some nifty features and if it's not to expensive I'll pick it up. I have to say though that some of these new 'features' ought to be in a free patch for the game.

    Like me? Well, I have asked how to acquire NA without credit card and PayPall would be a solution for people like me. I don't know how it works precisely though.

    They say in diaries 'bout a must be revolution in large European country - well ,only France and Russia had inhuman treatment of poor classes ,why other should suffer ?
    About download - I'm always on edge with posibility of having the data collapsed and don't wan't to download anything for this reason .
    CD could have code in order to protect it from pirates .
    Yes, it seems like a matter of patch all alone.
    I think they should start work on smth real like ancient world strategy game
    instead of this

    1. Download instabilities should not be a problem, because you can normally redownload a product (I talk as a Matrix customer).
    2. PayPal works à la "You pay them. They pay Paradox". It is now within the EU a regular bank with seat in Luxembourg, afaik. That can be accessed over the web or by telephon. If you are a minor, you may talk to your parents. Paradox games have won prizes from education institutions. They will help you out. I suppose.

    France has got revolution , right ? I believe French people would not do it without really serious reason . Common, I've red Victor Hugo - not novels ,but speeches in Parliament-there wouldn't be revolution without serious cause - over-exploition.Same goes to Russsia.
    About expansion - they soon would have 'Gold Edition' which would include both games, right ? Right ! (I borrow this phrase from mercenary in *Jagged Alliance 2* - first he asks ' Right ?' Then he himself answers - 'Right !')
    I could pay by card but - I would forget numbers-codes too soon .For example I've third incarnation on this forum .Before I was @ Edmonton,@Edmont - but I play so much that I can't remember anything besides which province was occupied by Goths and which by Celt-Iberians like - otherwise total amnesia.

    Is it (vanilla) save game compatible? I've got this cool Ottoman campaign going and I'd love to play through to 1820 with it.
