Now, to play, you need an unmodded version of Rome: Total War 1.5. In my opinion, 3-5 players would be best. Please, if you want to play, make sure you'll follow through the whole campaign. Also realize that this is going to last a long time since we have to email the save files to each other. If you're alright with that, here are some rules:
1. You must auto-resolve battles against another player, but you can fight out the battles against the computer.
2. No redoing your turn because you messed up a battle (or something similar).
3. No playing as the Roman Factions (unfair advantage due to allies plus glitches).
4. No cheating (including toggle_fow).
5. No making deals with other players without their consent (due to AI controlling them on their own turns).
6. Please get MSN messenger in order to communicate easier.
7. You have 24 hours to take your turn after it is sent to you. If you take longer than that, your turn will be skipped. If you are inactive for a few turns in a row without giving a reason beforehand, we will find someone else to play as your faction.
That's all I can think of now. If you want to play in this campaign, post the faction that you wish to play as and anything else you want to say. Remember, please stick with this if you sign up. If you'd like, we can make an AAR about the campaign.
Also, another note: if two players decide to go to war with each other and do a battle, it is possible to play out the battle without auto-resolve - You can copy down your armies (experience and all) and do an online battle. If the attacker wins, he or she goes back to the campaign and puts in the "auto_win_attacker" cheat and auto-resolves. If the attacker loses, he or she puts in the "auto_win_defender" cheat and auto-resolves. The problems with this include:
1. Both players would have to be willing to play out battles online.
2. Both players would have to be online at the same time.
3. Units with less than the max number of troops in their unit would have to be rounded up or down.
4. Most mercs would have to be exchanged with other units of similar value.
That would be quite a hassle, so most battles would probably be auto-resolved between players. Alright, people, choose your factions!
And don't worry, Exekutor and DrugMunky, I will still play our campaign.
This will be played on normal unit size and medium campaign and battle difficulty (since different difficulties mess up auto-resolve and money).
