    Default Heavy vs. Light?

What does the indicator of Heavy or Light mean in referal to a weapon type? For further clarification I am talking about the detailed unit descriptions that are acessed on the campaign map.

Almost forgot, the reason this is in text editing and scripting is because I also want to know where it can be edited. I assume in the EDU file but cannot recall seeing it there. Then again the only things I usually mess with in the EDU files are the weapon stats so I might have overlooked it.

It has to do with the upgrades. It's in the EDU of course. "blade" type of weapons are heavy and "simple" type of weapons are light.

    Heavy weapon:
    Code:
    stat_pri 9, 7, no, 0, 0, melee, blade, piercing, spear, 25 ,0.41
    Light weapon:
    Code:
    stat_pri 9, 7, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, spear, 25, 0.41

Ok. Also, do they confer any bonuses either way?

Nope, they are just used to discriminate between weapon types, so that buildings can give upgrades to this or that type (or both).

Ah yes, of course. Almost forgot that because I have been playing SPQR for so long now (It has no weapons upgrade facilities).
