Default Please don't let this mod go the way of DVl.

just want to say i find this mod very interesting... especially AOR... i loved this in RTR .
I hope that this mod does not go the way of dvl which i found to be all most impossible to play, because of constant ctd and trying to implement to much in the way of scripting and adding new cultures, and in my opinion the CA engine is just not up to it.
Some times verging on arrogance, i found their forum"DVL" all most impossible to get a answer "for or too" problems i found, or discovered with their mod.
Though this was not all ways the case, as their were one or two who were very helpful... though they tended to be people like my self ... enthusiastic gamers with similar problems, or problems that they had all ready encountered before.
I wish those working on this mod the very best of luck. well done.

Ooops sorry spelling Yes i mean DLV.4.

makes me wonder... what problems have you actually found? Do you actually PLAY this mod much? I litereally have never, ever had a CTD with PDER. It is very, very stable.

Compared to vanilla it is better in every aspect. Sorry for your problems with the DVL team, but Socal_infidel has gotta be the most approachable modder out there--he is constantly thankful for almost any feedback (even stuff I find myself cringing at as pretty worthless), and has incorporated masses of useful stuff from other modders whenever a new element has been brought up to his attention.

Check out the previous posts in the subforum...

I think he's saying the other mod, which I think is DLV(Deus Lo Vult) and not DVL, has the problems.

I'm sorry you've been having problems with DLV. Between real-life and working on my own mod, I don't have the time to play other mods. So can't comment on DLV.

But being a modder, I know how much hard work is involved. Especially considering they're doing it for free out of love for the game. The great thing about the mod community right now is there are a lot of mods out there. So hopefully you'll find one that suits you!

Cheers! Thanks again for taking the time to download my mod. I'd love to hear any feedback/suggestions you have!

And thanks ENSAIS for the kind words! Good to know you have my back!

Hi there first time poster and all that jazz. First off I would like to say that I really do enjoy your mod (currently playing PEDR!) and have also tried DLV
0.4. There are some good things that I think that DLV does bring to the table and that I believe would really add to the "role-playing" factor.

1- The ranking system (squire, knight, etc....) and the way your generals gain experience by being out on the campaign trail. I think that this adds to the general's value to your ultimate goal as ruler

2- And there is a naval mod that was included that boosts your naval captains and ads some fun vices to a person's navy. I'm not sure what the name was but I will try and find it if you wish.

Just my two thoughts. Like I said, I am lovin playing your mod and keep it coming

Not trying to be contrary here,
but personally I dislike the whole DLV experience (squire, knight, etc...). I found it arbitrary and un-fun. IF I wanted to play DLV, I would. Personally, I like PDER a whole lot more...

I agree with point 2 though.

The name of the Naval addon is "Hephaisto's naval vnv addon" for any out there.
It adds a nice flavor to the navy imo.

This is true, but it will give us something to do while we are waiting for the next version to be released.
