Default Before I buy 8800 GTX, preformence excellent or crap?

Okay, it was released before 4 weeks in Dubai. Know I need to know, the preformence of the game depends on the Card or the CPU or anything else. Because I don't know about everything in computer. Tell me know. It is urgent.

Mine is Acer Aspire T660 the model of the Computer. Is it fantastic or uncompatible.

Hold before buying, don’t get anything yet!

    Edit:

Motherboard is an ATi Xpress 1100 Chipset.

The good news is that they can support Core 2 Duo and DDR2 ram (which you need more of, either 1Gb or 2Gb. According to one one site I found the motherboard has "1 ( 0 ) x PCI Express x16", this means you have 1 OCI Express x16 slot which is good news.

I don't know how much money you want to spend but a typical 8800 GTX is about £350/£360. If I were you I would buy

    - EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB £180
    - Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 £114
    - Corsair Memory 2Gb DDR2 - £88

    Total £382

That would give you a lot better balance system then just buying a flat out uber video card. If you purchased a 8800GTX on it own it would severely bottlenecked by you CPU. The extra ram is also a must, 512Mb.....I have to use 512Mb on my Windows 2000 machine at work and just using the internet with a couple of windows or tabs open is painful.

Okay, got it. Thanks. But mine is not like in the internet. Okay, the CPU is the same but the Screen is a bit larger than this one in the link. Lucky for me, I have the best one and thanks for the info and mine is Ultimate. Maybe U.A.E is not like london. Wierd?

Wait, mine is Intel Pentium 4. Is it good or bad?

Well a Pentium 4 is a lot better then a Celeron but an upgrade to a Core 2 would still be worth while investment in my opinion. I'm also guessing since you have a beefier CPU you have more memory then the computer I gave a link to. What would be help full is if you gave us a breakdown of your computer. There’s an easy way to do this,

Start>Run>Dxdiag This will open up the Directx Diagnostic tool, along the top you will see 9 tabs with reference to different parts of your computer, were only interested in two of these tabs – System & Display. On the System tab can you tell us what it says next to Processor and memory. Then on the display tab can you tell us the details the details on the device section (all the info in the top left corner)
