RM 1.5 Put the Questions/Errors here.
Hi, hope its ok to open this thread here, maybe you move it to whatever you want.
Guess its better to post error msgs in one thread here than in sceenshots thread
tested your map again, first bug seems fixed, but sadly I got other errors now:
' Script error descr_regions.txt line 298 colum 5:
cant setup slave faction as default faction for this region, (romans_scipii)'
well I was able to fix that by replacing 'slave' as faction in the descr_regions.txt file to pontus (guess slave is not an really allowed faction) ...
so far so nice, but with this error msg now I have no idea what needs to fix:
' could not find region name 'Normandy' in stringtable '.
Strange thing is I found 'Normandy' in all the files needed, well maybe you know what the prob is and what 'stringtable' means.
Can others test the map too? I hope its not only my RTW(1.6?)-era version that produces the probs?

Re: bugs and testing
dont try any more, sorry max_minimod,but maybe you didnt understand the map information,it is for RTW 1.0/1.1 only, you need to install a new RTW ithout patch it,unfortenutly
edit: about the slave faction its not a matter,(if you had tried it with RTW1.1,it would have worked well)
Edit : that medieval map worked well with alot of people, because they tried it with RTW 1.1 and if you delete Map.rwm i think it will work with 1.5
This Thread is stick from now.thanks max_minimod

Re: Put the Questions/Errors here.
LordOf' the most people have the 'gold' (or 'era') version of RTW, it is what you buy yet, it comes patched already, means there is no way for them not to patch them like 1.0/1.1.
o=|HUDSON, you seem to have the 'gold' version of RTW, I get the same error, Rome:Medival will not work on your version (yet).
There could be ways to convert it so it runs with that versions too, but it is some work needed.

Re: Put the Questions/Errors here.
It can't be that too cause i buyed the Unique total war no ERAS and no Gold its' only Rome total war...and i know it is 1.0 cause the first time i installed it was at the top corner saying V.1.0
There is something that i discovered now
that other DATA folder dont appeared in packs...then a replaced the RTW data for that one(the normal data of RM not the one in pack)
after doing that i runed again the MS DOS thing and only then the another data folder appeared....
Resuming: The 2º DATA folder only appeared when i runed MSDOS thing after replacing the data of RTW for the data of RM...
I don't have idea of what's happening....
-Error loading mount database-
It's still appearing that message....
PS: It's normal to ui_1.pak or models_building_textures.pak to have 0kb ?
I think it should be better if you LORD, write for me again the instructions cause there must be something that i'm not understanding.....

Re: Put the Questions/Errors here.
First, when I save and exit the Medieval Campaign, I receive this error message: Script Error in RomeMedievalMod/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt, at line 506, column 34. resource textiles positioned on 365,23 which is an invalid title. Same error with Crusade States Campaign. Second, there's a problem with the English city of York. In the same file (descr_strat) York's starting settlement level is city, but it already has type core_building proconsuls_palace, so when you reach a population of 12,000 you cannot build the upper level buildings. York should probably start with a type core_building governors_palace. This is in both campaigns. Wow, I didn't realize what you did with the Crusade States Campaign until I tried it. Really cool idea

Re: Put the Questions/Errors here.
Sorry, I'm new in this thread and read some of the topics, but I couldn't find any specification as to how I am supposed to make some inadequate UI disappear (Auxiliary Archers instead of Longbowmen etc.). I'm referring to Rome Medieval 1.5. Thanks in advance. Oh, and btw one of the best mods I've played. You deserve to be paid by CA on a regular basis for your work, Lord of Knights.
