Help when instaling

Ok,heres the deal.I want to instal RTR so i deleted all traces of RTW from my pc.So my question is how to instal it,heres what i have:
Rome total war 1.0
RTW 1.2 patch
RTW 1.3 patch
RTW 1.5 patch
barbarian invasion
alexander
RTR 6.0 full
RTR 6.0 gold
I wont instal alexander and BI if it makes a problem with RTR,
and do i still start the game on the desktop icon??
Please help!

If you want RTR 6 Gold you need to go like this:
1. RTW v1.0
2. RTW v1.2
3. RTR 6 Gold
Nothing else.

If you want to install RTR Platinum:
1. install RTW v1.2
2. install BI v1.4
3. install BI v1.6 patch
4. install RTR Platinum v1.9
I think you can even install Alex prior to RTR platinum.
