settings go unsaved??

hey, when i change and apply the settings, they aren't saved to the next time i play the game. in the long run this is incredibly annoying...
so have this happened to anyone else?
is it the mod or the game that's causing it??
and does anyone know how to fix it??

This is a problem with the mod switch. Nothing i can do about it. The only way to change your settings is to manually edit the landstoconquer.cfg file, or run normal M2TW, edit your settings in there, exit the game and then run cfgfixer.bat in the Medieval II Total War folder.
