1.2 problem, its verrrrry annoying

After finally finding a download that worked and was not corrupt, i installed the 1.2 patch.


When try to run M2TW it just says 'M2TW encountered and unspecified error and had to close'



help this is driving me mad, i want to play mods... the vanilla version is too small, to easy and has a lot of problems.

I've downloaded the patch from different websites but to no avail.

Any help?

Hi,

I'm having this problem too, it's not solved in any of the three thread links posted above.
I downloaded 1.2, then installed it, and lo and behold, "...unspecified error...". I mean, it's not a disaster, I've only had the game a couple of weeks, still enjoying the 1.0 but I'd like the patch.

Any idea what I might have/have not done?

Well, are you installing straight to 1.2? Re-install, and do not bother with the 1.1 patch, see if that works.

That's what I did; installed 1.2 straight over 1.0 vanilla.

I installed 1.1 first, then 1.2. It worked, no problem. Maybe I was just lucky, but worth trying.

hmm ill try that, seems worth a try... im bored of either playing vanilla buggy 1.0 or not M2TW
