Unpacking Files Issue

Hello all! I've searched the forums like mad but I can't find any other topics about this, so here it goes:

When I try unpacking the files from the 1.1 update, the unpacker get through about 7000 files (of 36000) before closing. It closes when it starts unpacking the export_desc section of the /data folder. I have some mods in, which I suspect is somehow causing this.

If there is a way to fix this, or a way around it, I'd love to know. Thank you very much!

Have you tried with a clean install to see if that would work if you are concerned that it might be a mod doing this?

Do you actually have enough free HDD space to unpack all the files?

I've got plenty of HDD, so I don't think that's the issue. I suppose I'll have to reinstall the game and add my mods back later....which means I'll have to find my installation disks in a a house full of boxes for moving....god help me
