cant use ~ in Campaign

After watching 300 i wanted to play RTW. I recently got a new computer and did not install RTW so i did. I patched it to 1.5. i wanted to see the spartens so i wanted to use some cheats in campaign, but the console window will not come up. I looked in control options and its not there. i have tried different factions, cap lock, shifting,or just `~ key. NOTHING WORKS

Help!

Try the key directly under esc it looks like `,¬,¦.It has all 3 of those symbols in.

I have a Key that looks like [`~]. I don't think thats the problem because this is the same keyboard i used with the old computer. Is there anything to change the Button of the console window in control options.

Maybe it's disabled somehow, try checking the config or other files.

This has happened on the other computer in my house. Don't know what causes it, but it doesn't come up. Works fine on my one :/

yeah ive heard of this happening to but mostly to laptops but i have a lap top and can still do it.

nothing in Preferences sticks out. Does someone know were controls are in the RTW folder. And maybe paste what the file says for Console window. TY
