Kick me please

I'm afraid I'm going to ask to be demoted. While it's been a tremendous honour to watch masters at work ,I'm living a lie. I was reading a recent thread about the quality of civilians and the intial poster had a point. I almost never post in the Ethos,mudpit or history thread and I have not really contributed much since I have been granted this honour.

I am not totally confident in my posting style and I am unlikely to progress in this vastly unique site due to my shortcomings. So in conclusion I'm asking for permission to jump before I am pushed.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who voted for me and a special thanks to my Patron Ozy and Pra who have been very supportive during my time here.

I'm not sure which thread you are referring to, but e.g. posting in the mudpit, EMM or VV is not more worthy than in ULO imho (despite I can't say much about it as I'm for the most part not interested in sports and thus never look at it).
You haven't contributed much since being a citizen? So what? How many citizens did? I didn't (despite thinking about how I could contribute).
And pushed? The only recent member I remember to be pushed was enoch, someone charging at being heavily involved in curial matters, so I assume you're very unlikely to be pushed.

From what I know, you're a reasonable guy, and I think your tasks as a citizen are fulfilled with being reasonable and voting and posting that way - it's not like you've been made an admin who is neglecting his duties.

Lastly, I think you're taking things way too seriously - living a lie? Geez - it's the internet...

I'm tried so hard to get in here. I just thought it was an honour to be in a group of people who were bright,witty and most of the time genuine. Its a difficult thing to explain, I know it's the net but I have very few outlets for my feelings or views in RL. Ok I know I maybe a little sad for taking it a bit too seriously but that's me.

When I read that recent thread about restictions on citzenship ,it just hit a cord. I'm really ok with this and I'm just happy I got the chance.

Maybe it is better then, but rather than making this decision based on a momentarily mood after reading a certain post (like it seems to me). I'd rather go to your user CP\group memberships, check the full member option, let a few weeks pass and then decide...

Was this another rant by one of the old guard on who citizens posting quality has gone down? Used to be a lot more of them. Shame they were just general rants from people who rarely posted here themselves, provided no way to actually 'fix' it and seemed to name no names, it was just meant to be some sort of general truth - no need to actually prove it!
Oh please, one does not have to post in the DD to be a citizen, and one does not have to contribute to remain a citizen either...

Before you are pushed? Er, I don't think the CdeC will ostrakon any citizen who does not post that well. Never seen them do that before.

But oh well, resigning seems to be the in-thing now. It used to be really popular a while back as well, but then it declined in popularity... until now.

It's just a pang of conscience. I'm really ok with it. I will still post in the TWC and I bear no ill will against anyone. I want to be a citizen again when I gain more confidence and when I actually feel I have earned it and still do it justice.

well like I said in that other place... I respect your decision, and I resigned for similar reasons, and the opportunity will still be here for you when you decide you're ready for it.

That is, if a patron comes along and offers to re-patronise him. If you quit, you have to go through the system all over again.

Don't leave! Do a SA! (ie. me) and have yourself suspended. Take it from me, a suspension from the curia did me good, and got me back to posting in the TD/DD. Any of the admin will help you happily, means you can no longer see or post the curia, but thats what you wanted wasn't it?
