I discovered it in the last summer. Here in Hungary we dont hear such old records much. And there is no blues culture..
Do you like it? Can you explain why? Its hard for me...but i guess why I like it. Very earnest, moody...
And what artists?

I'm not really a fan of the vocals, it's the lyrics that I like. Anyway, obviously you should be checking out Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters.
Two words sum up Delta Blues perfectly.
Robert Johnson.
I'm kind of suprised that people here even know about Robert Johnson.
R.L. Burnside is worth a listen. More of a country blues sound but to me it has plenty of the influences that come along with growing up in the region that spawned the delta style.

Or one name, not two words.
But mark me well; Religion is my name;
An angel once: but now a fury grown,
Too often talked of, but too little known.
-Jonathan Swift
"There's only a few things I'd actually kill for: revenge, jewelry, Father O'Malley's weedwacker..."
-Bender (Futurama) awesome
Universal truth is not measured in mass appeal.
-Immortal Technique
Or two names, not one name.
He is fairly famous as blues artists go. But I suppose it was Clapton's cover of 'Crossroad Blues/Riverside Blues' that made the name much more recognisable to later generations.I'm kind of suprised that people here even know about Robert Johnson.
Robert Johnson is a real legend. There is something in him although I find his voice too high.
I have some old record. Mississippi John Hurt from 1928. THat is one of my favorite. Bluesy old accoustic guitar, good voice, Delta feeling..
I don't know, most just know of leadbelly or muddy waters, you discover RJ once you really delve into the Blues.
