rome total war gold?

I am thinking of buying this as I want the expansion(BI) and I cant find that in the shops - could someone tell me a few details about this eg any extra fetures, number of discs etc

Gold has no special features, it uselly RTW and BI and has the latest patch on it. I've no idea about disc numbers but i assume 4, 3 for RTW and 1 for BI.

-And incase I misread your post and you want details on BI

-Night battles
-Franks, goths, huns, vandals and I believe one other faction can horde and resettle after losing their last settlement.
-Loyalty, shows how loyal your generals are and may break away, very important for the roman empires and goths as it brings a new faction in
-Sheild wall and other new formations

Other BI features include some units can swim, spear bonus, can recruit generals ( non family members ).

Newer copies of Gold should install fine, some install RTW 1.5, but when you install BI, it rolls the RTW back to 1.3. After installing BI start RTW, click options, VER number is in upper right. if 1.5 your OK; if 1.3 you need to patch to 1.5.

I have one of those copies that allypup mentioned. It comes with RTW at 1.5, but BI is only at 1.4, and when you install it, it rolls RTW back to 1.3. It came on 4 cds. 3 for RTW, and one for BI.

When I got RTW Gold over a year ago, it had all the patches (RTW to 1.5, BI to 1.6) and was on a DVD, only one disk. It quickly became one of my favourite games of all time.

Where do you live? Best Buy (in the US) still carries a few boxes of RTW Gold (with the BI expansion). Just recently, they put out a new box cover for the original RTW. I'm thinking of getting that just in case I scratch up my disc.

I lıve in the UK and I am not old enough to get a credıt card or any thıng lıke that. There are also no rtw BI or vanılla RTW ın any of the shops that I have been.
