    Default 4.1 saracen mercenaries

    The same bug as in 4.0 without the hotfix. How can I fix this? But how can I? I have all ready installed 4.1. Why is there still a bug?

    Sorry I tought it would be clear. I mean the bug when the Saracen merenaries don't have a weapon. It seems like the bug is back in the 4.1 patch, without the hotfix for the orignal 4.0.

    Yes they do have a sword, I have been using them in my campaign and just did a Custom battle test. Have you used any other mod to update your models_battle.db file?

    Hahahahah. I just installed M2TW + 1.2 + SS 4.0 + SS 4.1, a completely clean reinstall (Quark knows what for) and....

    I started a new campaign as Seljuks, spent a few minutes running around looking for those little punks (they are never around when they are needed) and finally recruited them. After that i attack a random Byzantine stack and what I see? My saracens are weaponless!

    EDIT: I actually played the battle. They won, punched two units of Byzantine Spear Militia to death. I 100% confirm the bug and add to that that it's completely clean and fresh install so it must be the fault of SS.

    Ok backup your models file in Stainless_Steel_Mod\data\unit_models and try this.

    It didn't help. They still have no weapons. EDIT: and both files, mine and yours are exactly the same.

    Ok the only thing else that Hotfix 3 touched which could maybe effect saracens were the strategy and shared.sd files. I don't really know what these files do, but here are mine from data\ui

    If that does not work, then we are talking the main vannila version of these files.

    As always backup first.

    I just did a search for saracen in the mod folder and under the data\ui\units and \unit_info there are images of the saracens as tga files. All are dated 29/03/2007, file size 13 and 209 kb respectively.

    I have attached the one from Unit_info\mercs

    I noticed this right away, actually it was the first thing I tested to see if I needed the Hotfix. I just uninstalled the 4.1 patch, applied the Hotfix, and reinstalled the patch. It worked and I haven't had any conflicts. I just assumed the Hotfix was still needed.

    Euhm, where can I find the hotfix then? I think it is removed.

    I am using 4.0 and the saracen mercs hold weapons for me.

    Hi all,

    I've jut checked the 4.1 files and I recognized that I forgot to put in the new .mesh files, which fixed the mercenary saracens, from the Hotfix into the new patch.
    Sorry for that and I will make a little fix for them soon.
    However, they should be normal if you have installed the Hotfix3 before.

    I have just read the modelsdb file and they use the dismounted_quapukulu_lod0.mesh files, so in English

    1. Download the attached zip
    2. Unzip the attached files to the Stainless_Steel_Mod\data\unit_models\_units\me_mail_plate_hvy_mplate folder.

    Try a custom battle.

    this hot fix 3... i have not seen before .dose it fix Byzantine Guard speerman?
