Default Why does the AI trespass on my territory w/out a M.A. agreement?

Its provocation for war in real world terms ..

We all need to move forces around, so OK, I accept its going to happen.

So why doesnt the AI accept Military Access agreements far more easily if you are allied???

It would be nice if they would, it would change the game in a big way.

You know...perhaps its cause *gasp* the AI is ruddy friggan STupiD. im serious, all the ai's made for this game are the dumbest little buggers, and have absolutely no tactical political sense.
What we need is a script that will cause attrition to armies, not including rebels and brigands, that will cause the stacks to lose units per turn and/or have a chance of turning traitorous, either by becoming brigands themselves if they have a low loyalty general unit, or by becoming a member of your armies if they have no general at all.

Until realism/competence in politics/programing can be invested in the regular game and/or a mod, the only solution to a 'great' game with Med2 is to be able to have a multiplayer campaign (DUH!) - the fact that you can't baffles me. What the hell are they thinking at CA? What good is multiplayer mode without a campaign and vice-versa? Multiplayer without it is meaningless other than the lame ladder crap. Recently I read that the Kingdoms expansion allows for multiplayer campaign games, but only as played from the same computer...? Wtf is that? If it is what I'm thinking, as in no networked computers nor internet, then that is just sadly inadequate. But, yes, the politics of AI are absolutely stupid in the regular game. It ruins the game, imo. You can have your foe on their death bed and they wont accept cease-fire nor vassalization - its absurd. It leaves one to wonder why there are diplomats. If this mod fixes that problem, then more the better.

well if they allow 2 player ont he same pc you could turn it into multi player through email.
just send the save game back and forward.

it would just be a very long game, some people do that with chess though

Play by email/hotseat or whatever, would be fine, too. The length of the campaign isnt the point. Even if it took years to play, to the appreciative gamer, it's years of fun.

btw, it would have to be synchronous play for the battles - so email is out unless there is someway around that. But, back to the original point - I hope - if I ever get to try this Mod (please see help request under 4.0 is out) - that DLV solves the diplomacy AI problem. I realize that the better the diplomat the better the results, but I have never had an positively doomed foe accept cease-fire. Further, while there are martyrs and fanatics among kings, they can't ALL be that way.

The AI in DLV is light years ahead from the vannila AI.
