    Default Puzzled

    I play on Inca, was attacked by Portugal and England - over colonies .
    The English army was retreating (into my territory) and finally get to my native province without fort they immediately became masters of it and even after I destroyed their army and took back province it didn't became mine and my army didn't have any option (all grey)to siege it back or whatever.
    With white piece it went to them
    Cute...

    So how that could be ?
    Fitz Salnarville, Duke William's favourite knyghte,
    To noble Edelwarde his life dyd yielde;
    Withe hys tylte launce hee stroke with thilk a myghte,
    The Norman's bowels steemde upon the feeld.
    Old Salnarville beheld hys son lie ded, 235
    Against Erie Edelward his bowe-strynge drewe;
    But Harold at one blowe made tweine his head;
    He dy'd before the poignant arrowe flew.
    So was the hope of all the issue gone,
    And in one battle fell the sire and son

    They seized a province. You can do this to pagan settlements (except their capital) and colonies before they hit 1000 in their population. For pagans they are always at risk of having their provinces seized no matter how high their population.

    Here is a tip - Don't play as pagans.

    No I re-loaded from before war and it was full-developed core province -I even recruited regiments there.
    One thing Incas have is gold -lots of gold, but to develop them technologicaly is nigh impossible

    Perhaps you misunderstood William. The thing is 'pagan' provinces may be annexed immediately after capture. This is determined by the text file religion.txt in Europa Universalis III\Common.

    Code:
    pagan = {
    	animism = {
    		color = { 0.5 0.0 0.0 }
    		province = {
    			stability_cost = 10
    			local_missionary_cost = -0.5
    		}
    		country = {
    			missionary_placement_chance = 0.5
    		}
    		annex = yes
    	}
    	shamanism = {
    		color = { 0.5 0.3 0.3 }
    		province = {
    			stability_cost = 10
    			local_missionary_cost = -0.5
    		}
    		country = {
    			missionary_placement_chance = 0.5
    		}
    		annex = yes
    	}
    }
    You can supposedly remove this effect by removing "annex = yes" from this code.
    Hopefully you'll soon get the "westernisation" event. Having benevolently allied the Creek Indians in my Spain campaign they got the event. They are now researching a the same rate as European nations. Their land military technology level was on par with most European nations within years!

    I forgot the event #, but you can type it in manually and makes your country "westernized". This should get rid of the paganism, and allow you to better comepete with the europeans. As i am not at my computer right now, just try looking the even up in the.....i think native americans section of txt files. Good luck, -Leon
