LTC 3.x on larger / more detailed map?

Is it possible to play LTC version 3.0 or 3.1 on a larger map (in long campaign mode)? I really like all the game improvements LTC makes, but would like to play the game on a map with more detail (i.e. more regions;-> longer, more complex game). I've seen more detailed maps in in other mods, but don't want to part from LTC... Is there a way to combine the best of these?

More regions isn't necessarily a good thing. What I would want though, is a slightly larger and improved map, with about 10 new regions, and have almost all regions start under a faction's control (not rebel).

The stainless steel map is great, but my ideal one would be a little smaller and have less cities.

I highly doubt that it's possible without any complications or problems.
I also think Lusted won't be adding a bigger map to his mod.
Stick with the good ol' vanilla map, it's good IMO
