    Default Media (Video) player

I've got a problem with my current video player; BS Player. When viewing this video, the image is the wrong way (IE, upside and down). However, when using Windows Media Player, nothing is wrong and it's perfectly OK.

Now, is there any other easy-to-use media player like the BS player; one with a very limited interface (so I can view videos on one part of my desktop at the same time as I do other things), preferrably with free zooming like BS player has. Or must I download some kind of codec to get this to work?

While playing a movie check under rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced. Look for "flip video" or "flip screen" or similar in the configuration.

Try changing one of your codecs/filters settings, one of them most probably has a flip option. If none of them has, install ffdshow, it will decode most of your movies and has a flip option.
codecs/filters properties are accessible via right-click on the movie window-->properties in bsplayer as mentioned above.

No Plif Screen or flip video in advanced-tab. There's just a bunch of info there, nothing I can really change (except audio). I'm googling ffdshow currently.

EDIT: Eh, I really don't know what to do with FFDshow now. Should I open the video with it? WTF?

Found the flip setting (in the configuration at the start menu), but it does nothing when opening in BS player...

I've got a problem with Media Player:

On one of my drives (the one that sticks occasionally, worse luck) it runs fine. On the other drive (the one that works fine), it stutters whenever playing DVDs. Can anyone suggest a solution? I've tried running the players' update function, but it says that it's the latest version. Why should it work on on drive, but not the other?

How do you do that? I've heard you can mess up your PC if you don't know what you're doing when it comes to firmware updates (and I don't).

Go to your drive manufacturer's website and look for a downloads section. Google firmware update and your model, should find some details. What make model are your drives?

Just Go VLC , nothing compares to its useabilty , it runs anything under the sun, maybe not quicktime movies, but besides that VLC FTW.
