Population growth and other questions

Hi,

just a question. Tested several mods...SS, LTC, this one and the bigmap one. Play SS, because there I can play the templers, this mod, because it really takes long time, to have a huge city and army. I really like that, but with this mod, I get all the time, aber 100-150 years a CTD and reloading has no effect.

So I downloaded the bigmap, this mod is using and now I have the problem, that my population grows much too fast. Searched in the folders, if I can reduce the growing rate somewhere, but wasn´t successfull. So here are my question.

1: Where can I change the population growing rate? After ~40 turns my capital has 86k people and happiness goes down.
2: Is there any solution to solve this bug, I get with this mod (The long road) after 100-150 years?
3: What the heck is "vanilla"? All the time I hear "vanilla" and ask me "whatßs this?!". Is this the original game? If so, why don´t you call it medieval2?

Vanilla is the unmodified and unpatched version of the game. Do a forum search on population growth, and you will find out how to modify it.
