    Default How screwed am I

Restarted my Julii campaing, and as usual took over Segesta (or however you spell it). Anyways, as I'm off with my main army besieging Pavatium, a 6 star general and 7 stacks of Gauls come over destroy my guards (and General) at Segesta.

How screwed am I? This has never happened to me. I'm only 4 turns into this campaign...

Dont worry, if you think you're really fubared, just restart, or you can try and raise another army.

When you say 7 stacks, were they all full, or just on and off's?

you can hope, and try to get the senate or the other familys to help you.

It was 800 vs 150. I don't want to restart because that is a pain, but cripes that was gay.

Thats really odd. But sometimes the AI pulls together everything it has and throws it at you.

You could let them have a town though and retake it. You'd destroy most of their army probably.

Why you attacked gauls so early? You have salona free, so take it, also is not bad idea to take.. corsica from Cartaginians since they cant hurt you, and then when you set up some solid economy, make some solid army and go on gauls..

you're intimidated by 800 men, in separate stacks? Come on man thats fresh meat. if they attack you they're doomed since they will come in small units instead of a full stack.

Those 800 men are the Gauls only decent army at the beginning. Your Hastati should easily be able to destroy their Warband and General, no problem. Take your main army off of Patavium and assault Segesta.

I'm not sure if I just want to restart or assault them. I have about 1500 total troops fighting ready

Then go ahead. You should be able to eat them alive with 1500.

See, I took it first turn. I had 150 hastati plus a General stack there when all of a sudden, a Gallic generalcame down near the Mt. Pass near Sagesta. Next turn they had besieged the town and it only gave me the option to Sally Forth. I auto-resolved and was annihilated.

Anyways, I forgot I didn't even have 1.3 patch installed so I'll just restart my campaign.

You have to install both, I believe. 1.3 then 1.5. Otherwise they don't work. Unless they've combined them...

Don't worry, I know how to do it.

Anyways, I've probably done the Julii campaign 5 times or so and I've never had Gauls come anywhere close to Sagesta

    I auto-resolved and was annihilated.
As I said in a topic on gamefaqs, auto-resolving and wondering why you lost is like letting a two-year-old build a house for you and thinking it'll meet your expectations.

Also remember, the game isn't over until you've either lost every city or every family member you have. Don't give up in your other campaigns.
