The Grand Alliance

Hey Guys!

Check out my European Grand Alliance with Spain as the ruling state. Basically I have vassalized and allied the countries below to Spain and now the Holy Roman Emperor/head of the Catholic church and defender of the faith Carlos I rules all of Europe in peace; its kinda like the EU but hundreds of years ahead of its time.

Vassalized member states below;

Switzerland

Below in lighter green is Spain as the head/ruling state of the alliance, whilst in a slightly darker green are the vassalized member states.

Nope i just started in 1453, which gave me all that time to build this alliance. Anyway I just royal marriaged/allied & vassalized the top countries to Spain. For some reason Germany, Russia, Great britain and Italy all popped up some time between 1453 to 1489. I assure you all that there was no cheating whilst I was playing and that all of this was simply achieved through my sheer will to push with hard diplomacy.

Anyway please post more you guys and let me know what you think!

Eh, I'm quite happy with my Grand Alliance as Spain with England, Sweden and Savoy. They have never backed out of any of my wars and it's handy to have England's navy by my side.

I agree! Anyway not only is it handy with having Great Britain's, The Netherland's, Sweden's & Portugal's navy, but with France's, Germany's, Italy's and Russia's armies too. Indeed the advantages of having the whole continent vassalized/allied makes it alot easier for me to wage war and engage in diplomacy throughout the entire world knowing that I have the top 8 behind my back to support the Spanish Empire when she needs it.
