Default Kingdom of Adūnabār - cult of shadow..?

i'm a bit disapointed with the Kingdom of Adūnabār in my gondorian (reunited kingdom, wtv :\) compaign. So many things about the cult of shadow and no orcs! i havent seen one orc in my entire compaign. and it's on for a while.

are the orc units expensive? Oo why dont they use it? :S is it some kind of reform..?

Well I've never played as the Kingdom of Adūnabār so I'm not sure but I think you have to build a lot before you can get them

The orcish units are available only to certain regions (with a specific hidden resource) and those cities tend to fall pretty quickly. Also, the AI recruiting priorities are hardcoded, as well as the algorithms for determining which unit is the 'best-buy' option. So, apart from making Orcs very cheap and easy to produce, there's not much we can do about that.

They picked them up in my Dunland campaign - I got a message saying that Orcs had returned to Mordor, driven by a command or power greater than their fear of themen of Gondor or Adunabar.

Well, that's exactly what you should be feeling. It's a civil war after all. The buildings that produce orcs are a bit hard to make and not very cheap (though they ain't expensive). But Adunabar tends to fall quickly and loses the income it so badly needs to produce Orcs. If you give them some time and space, you'll probably get to see Orcs in their rosters. The message about Orcs returning to Mordor doesn't have anything to do with wether they are being used or not by Adunabar.

Elohim says he did. And I have also. And I know of a number of people that have seen them in abundance in dunledish armies. Adunabar would use them if they had the time.

I see Dunland make armies of orcs all the time. I usually play as Rohan so I don't know about Adunabar

I actually created a full-stack orc army as Dunland at one point (started off as an agricultural nation, so got rich fairly quick), and sent to ravage the Eastfold : )

It worked very very well, since my Men had already eliminated a fair portion of the opposition.

Adunabar does recruit Orcs and Uruks. During the balancing process I have seen different tacks containing almost every kind of orcish troops. Uruk swords and Orc Champions seem to be their favourite after a while.

    What is the best faction?

There is no best faction, everyone has advantages and disadvantages. Depends on your style of play actually... We have tried a lot to balance the campaign, so that no matter which faction you chose you will still get a challenge. Harad is supposed to be the easiest though, and Dunland the hardest.

ya dunland is the hardest faction of them all. mainly my difficulty with them is their position. but not to stray to far off topic wasn't their some creatures in mordor that were somewhat like a rhinoceros.

The ones that appear in the movie dragging Grond? Well, those are PJ's creation. The book does mention large beasts, but that's all.

Must be the Arms&Armour book by Chris Smith; nice fairytale... It has some very cool pictures though!
