question regarding mods downloaded

when i download mods, where do i have to put them? and can they work together? like there is this mod that adds provinces, while another adds new factions.. will they work together?

Any mods you download should either come with installation instructions or an installer, you'll have to refer to the individual mods for these.

Mods can be merged, but it's complicated as many mods change the same files and won't work if the text is not present. A mod that adds provinces will not merge easily with one that adds factions.

As King Richard has stated, they should come with an installer and/or instructions. Basically each mod will create a folder inside your M2TW directory containing all files for the mod. Also in the root directory for M2TW they should include a config file and/or a bat file to launch the mod.

You can also merge mods, but for the majority of them it will be a difficult process unless you are intimately familiar with both mods. Generally when 2 mods share no simliar files, you can easily merge them by placing all the files in one directory. Though doing so can also cause certain errors since some files work in harmony with each other.
