I think he's either using an editor or increasing unit sizes from the video options.

because i`m somewhat enjoying the campaign on there at the moment (despite loooaaads of sieges) and i left my northern frontier totally open for the gauls, they suddenly just attacked me lol.

You can use the free version of fraps. That's the one I use.

Fraps lets you record 30 seconds worth of footage before it stops recording. Once it stops recording, simply hit the "record" button again.

If you watched my video, you can spot each time I had to hit "record" again

It should, as RTR uses a different folder rather than overwriting the Data folder.

Roma surrectum is one of the better mods around. It has to be your taste though with all those armies attacking you. There is alot of action. Also has 0 turn recruitment for most units(you can turn that off at installation but its just not the same). The mod itself is amazing.
