    Default 4.1 Bugs

    Please post any bugs from Stainless Steel 4.1 here.
    I'll update this post regularly with all known bugs, so they don't have to be posted twice.

    Please post suggestions or ideas for changes in the suggestions thread.

    Known Bugs:

    - Some non-heirs have the "heir apparent" trait.
    - Authority loosing trait flawed
    - Byzantine Arquebusiers have 'arrow' sounds

    Err, the EDU does nor have a listing for the new LAca unit, trying to find such now.

    Hi Quark,

    That was fast!

    Well, Laca's Heavy Pikemen are still called "Guard Pikemen".
    So, there you'll find their unit stats...

    Sorry, sticky said they were added, so looked for a new unit in EDU. I was intending not to post, as you deserve a good weekend, but could not resist looking at what you had changed in the EDU.

    BBB 'Trigger Get_castle_edu' is still in. it should replace library for garrison_quarters

    Yeah thats a BBB2.0 issue. Hopefully the next SS release will include 2.1

    Maybe this time somebody will maintain a list in one of the first posts... it will be so much easier to follow... I volunteer. :-)

    EDIT: Here it goes, I note who reported the bug, the winner who reports the most will get +rep.

    1. Quark:

    - the EDU does not have a listing for the new LAca unit

    2. Gary:

    - Byzantine Muskets have "arrow sound" as well as musket firing sound. it is faint but some thing that can be fixed.
    - Textures for the Family member/General is still messed up

    3. PeteAce:

    - My battle ram does not break gates anymore with 4.1, the gate will just open when my ram unit is just about to start ramming. I can confirm that this is happening 100% of the time, at least of the 3 small rebel towns with wall I attacked when I was playing as Scotland.

    That is an awesome idea mate. Hopefully it will reduce the doubling up on bug reports.

    Hello Kong,

    I just registered onto this forum (been lurking for a while) and I just want to say that this is an impressive mod. I'm loving it so far and hope you continue improving it as time passes, but I have noticed that on my English campaign, repeatedly the faction heir, William Planegent (sp?) has absolutely no stats. No loyalty, no piety, no chivalry/dread, and only one command star. Is this suppose to be like that?

    It's only a small problem so I'm asking if there is any quick fix for this as it is quite debilitating especially since he's my only general on the mainland. Thanks.

    It's not that easy to have a good heir. Try sending him on a crusade.

    Well that's the problem. It's the very first turn of my campaign, I have no real standing army, my income is iffy at best, and I still need to consolidate my position against those damn Frenchies/Scots.

    I tried restarting said campaign several times hoping that it was just bad luck, but lo and behold, he is consistantly the worst general ever with exactly the same stats (the real killer being his complete lack of loyalty, I don't want to assign a stack of units only for him to rebel immediately).

    I'm thinking his base stats are a bit wonky so how do I fix that without killing the game?

    Is it possible to use the normal commander/ general instead of the family member textures general?

    I dunno if this is a bug but I was shocked when I first seen it. I was checking out the EDU to mod unit stats to make my game experience abit more intresting when I realised that Dismounted Latinkon usually have the stats of about 13 attack and 21 defence but they had 5 att and 18 def then I change it thinking bug? But then I had a look at the Kataphractoi and they had 7 att and 11 charge (forgot def stats) so wats the deal I spend ages changing stats to make the game a chanllenge and now it looks like I gotta redo the whole file??

    Real Combat mod was included in 4.1 and it has all the stats reworked. Not a bug. Don't worry, they are better this way. More real. :-)

    Is there any way to get rid of the real Combat mod and get the data of each unit back?

    I am having trouble playing the campaign. I have tried as several different kingdoms, but each time the computer reaches Scotland it doesn't progress any further. It doesn't lock up per say since I can still exit out, but it won't complete the turn. I tried as Scotland and I had no issues witht the game turn. Any suggestions?

    No. I've rammed gates. Check if isn't the enemy army sallying out (there is a new ai in place, a better one).
