is it possible? Is it possible being in a battle involving 3 factions which are all enemies. In campaign battle not in custom battle.

No, I do not think so. It might e possible if say, two factions and a rebel army happen to fight in the same battle area. But I doubt it.
No I have a hard time to believe so. I've faught battles where rebels stood in the bettle area, but they never act as a third part.
Aww, would be fun :/
Yeah that was one of the cool things in Medieval I, but oh well

in multiplayer you can, but not on the campaign.
This is possible on vanilla at least, as the julli a rebel stack was on my borders a senate stack then attacked them and as my men were in there area of attack, my men joined the battle the rebels were quiqly wiped out.
btw does anybody know if the rebels can attack your cities or they ever have.
yes they can but will only do it on very hard setting

This kind of battle would be really fun on battle map, and it wouldn't be unrealistic in real life either. Many good generals would've taken the chance to join a battle with two of their worst enemies. Think of the glory they would recieve when returning home. This would be one of the improvements they should make to the next TW-game.
Nope only in custom/multiplayer battles. It would be nice to see in Rome 2 if they do it.is it possible? Is it possible being in a battle involving 3 factions which are all enemies. In campaign battle not in custom battle.

There have been a few times where I fought in three army battles where each army was of a different faction. However, it was always the case of two factions fighting together against the third.
The first was in my Carthaginian campaign. The Scipii were laying siege to Syracuse and looking like they were going to take it. So I went over and attacked their army. The Greeks came out and joined in on my side, even though we were not allied.
Later ones were from one of my Greek campaigns. I was allied with the Seleucids who were down to just Sardis. Egypt was continually attacking them, and I knew I was next once they had finished off the Seleucids. So I sent a small army up to help the Seleucids. I had a very cool battle there where the Egyptians were storming Sardis, and my army showed up as reinforcements. I raced into the city and hit the Egyptians just after they had taken the walls and were pouring into the city. I turned their flank, the Seleucids rallied, and we slaughtered them.
