Icon9 new guy in forum asking for help

    Dear friends,

After install M2TW + 1.02 patch I have problems to pass first or second turns, it get stack in one of the country shields.

I've tried with clouds over europe mod and deus lo vult 3.2 mod and happens the same, after first or second turn I can see the shield of Eire or France but stays there, cannot continue

I can pop up menu screen and then go to main manu, load game or new game and again.

Does someone knows why happens this?

    Thanks in advance!

Uninstall. Remove the SEGA folder in your Local disc. Then Reinstall it with the 1.2 patch. Then try it again.
How long have you tried to wait when this problem occurs? Maybe its just slow?

I would say the same thing, uninstall M2TW and make sure there's nothing in the folder. Then re-install the game and then install the patch over the vanilla. It should run then.

I know it's a pain to do that because the game is so large...

Thank you King Arsen, I've made a new clean installation in other folder, so I don't think is that, but I think I will do it again.
Normally it takes 1 second or 2 to pass by from one country shield to other during passing from on turn to other, but the problem is when get stacked in a country shields for minutes, then I don't think is normal.

    thanks again!

try the cure all for m2tw reinstalls

    1. completely uninstall the game and even delete the game folder.

    2. start-->run--> "regedit"--> find the sega medieval2 folder.
*****IMPORTANT***** ONLY DELETE THE MEDIEVAL 2 FOLDER!!!! i cannot stress that enough.

    3. reinstall game, then install 1.2..... ***do not install 1.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***

if its is still causing an issue after you have tried that post the last few lines of your system log.

This happened to me once. But it turned out to be something wrong in a text file. So I reinstalled and deleted the whole SEGA folder, i.e removed all trails of the game.
Thats should be it, it should run then.
And as pronestar says, just install the normal game(try it.. does it work?) and then install 1.2 patch and try again.

I can only add that you should NOT add mods. Get it working without mods, then slowly install mods so you make sure it's not the mods screwing you up.
I found out that my mods where interfering with each other even though they where both seperated from the main game folder and themselves. I have to keep swapping them to play each of them.

    1. This game can take a long time on certain faction's turns because of units moving ariund you don't see, diplomacy being handled, battles being fought, scripts having to be read line for line, an dmany others. This game has to do it for every faction every turn even rebels. Rebels can seem to take forever even in vanilla. Have patience.
    2. Many mods biult on medieval2.exe like CAE are not compatible with any other mod as they overwrite the original game files.
I have four of them on my harddrive BUT I also have a seperate Medieval2 folder for each named for that mod and a clean Medieval2 copy just in case I mess something up.
