    Default whole world map mod

    hey ive been thinking about this a lot and since having finished rome total war and medieval total war 2 a couple of times i want a major challenge so i want this time not to just conquer the middle east europe and north africa but this time i want to conquer the whole known world it would be great if someone made a mod like this to have european factions middle east factions mongols and chinese factions a japan faction african rebel factions and american native indian factions it would been a great game and a lot to conquer you could have a lot of endings you could choose as for example as a english faction to defend the british island and in the meantime conquer the whole african continent to have as income and from there choose to expand eastwards in middle east and asia or ship to america and conquer south america and/or north america or choose to crush all the european factions and rule the european continent what do you say people isnt it a good idea?

    or choose as the mongols instead of crushing the european and middle eastern factions to ship to america and conquering it

    it would take a lot of time to make such a mod but the outcome would be very satisfying and great

    that was a LONG sentence!
    but, i somewhat remember someone wanting to make a mod like this to RTW, but there was some errors, some water-to-ground thingy i never understood but if you want to give it a shot, and you actually mangages it, i will definitly download it

    The RTW one failed becasue of the limit of provinces. I think.

    well in M2 the limit is only around 200- 195 to be safe...

    A "whole-world" map eh? Sounds good. I like it! BUT because of the province limits, the regions in the map would look...I don't know...wierd? It would be like one battle resulted in the occupation of a territory the size of, let's say, California.

    well, it's possible, divy it up like a Risk board game...
    Have the continents and the provinces on them...
    and I think factions could be (something like) if this is 1100 to 1500-ish

    Even if the province limit is fairly small, at least there will be more field battles and less sieges as troops will need to travel further. Also Cities will be so much more important to keep and make the best use of.

    Even if a pro team get's together, it will take forever. it's fun to talk about but it's not going to happen.

    I have a basic world map up and running. I was just playing around with mapping and got one to work. When I say basic, I mean BASIC. No heights, few regions, no features, no factions, some of the coastlines need to look better, especially Greece.

    I plan on finishing the map up to a point where a mod group can use it for whatever they want but thats going to be a while as I have 2 other huge projects in the works right now. If someone is seriously interested in this send me a PM.

    I took screens of the radar map. Its a full sized map so taking screens of the land masses would mean I had to post 50 shots to see the whole map.
