Can't patch

I bought Medieval 2 through electronic download on the SEGA site.

My problem is that when I try to patch it with either 1.1 or 1.2, I get a message at startup saying that it can't find the game. I tried extracting them to different folders but it's always the same message. I reinstalled and the patches still won't work.

It's probably something I'm doing, not used to this "new" patching procedure.

Any help will be appreciated.

if your doing a download version then it should already be patched more than likely.

I though of that but when I looked at the options screen, it says 1.0 in the corner.

I forgot to mention that the message also stated that I needed a previous version of the game installed.

I fixed it. Turns out Digital River has it's own patches. I was downloading the wrong type of patch.
