i know that in VH CAMPAIGN you receive some benefits and in H you don t...actually,i cant say if my campaigns were HARDER in VH or in H...

but the battles are surely more difficult in VH...

The hardest difficulty is H/VH.

the hardest difficulty is VH/VH. it used to be differant with the older versions but with 1.5/1.6 everything was fixed.

VH camaign gives the AI money each turn if they need it so they can always buy new soldiers and buildings. this makes it harder but less realistic, since economic warfare really won't effect them.

VH battles used to gives the AI i believe something like +7 on their stats and they will fight to the last man before routing. so that is the hardest.

We have already tested and observed that if you play on VH\VH it will distort gameplay considerably....especially economically. You are correct that it gives the AI money, but it ALSO gives the player the same exorbident income.
So we recommend playing H\H or H\VH if you want a good\hard challenge from this mod.

Since this is a '0' turn based mod, for the most part, you can see that if you have a ton of money, it is very easy to crank out armies left and right with no thought to economic conservation. This gives the player a vast advantage, simply because the player is always smarter. So the best way to make the game a challenge is to limit the amount of money the player has so he has to make wise decisions on how to use it.

For example, if you have a million denarii in the bank, you don't have to decide whether to build a Legion or army on this front or that...you just build one on ALL of them. But if you've only got 25000 denarii....even 50000....and have to build buildings and still keep a military going to stop the enemy, you've got to CHOOSE where to build that army, and then HOPE you made the right decision.

Also, the AI isn't ever as concerned about rebellion or happiness as the player is. It will live with 80-90 % or even less, as long as there is no rioting. So it can dedicate more money to armies than you can as the human player. This only increases the challenge all the more.

As a player, you can take one army and defeat several (one time I defeated SIX full stacks of German armies with one Legion!) or more armies with it, so an economic advantage isn't necessary for the player.

play just with H/VH...gallic always build OH GOD many many stack and kick my red ass out ....can only say PFFF ....LOL

maybe because H/VH or maybe new Hotfix1.01b..i know not..and never has see so many army of armada of gallic before hotfix come..

I HATE now Gallic..so much wild barbar
