Anyone find themselves bored with fighting battles/sieges?
Sometimes fighting battles myself gets pretty repetetive and boring... this happen to anyone else? Id like to just auto-calc the battles, but invariably the AI royally screws up the battle and i lose even with odds in my favor and lots of cavalry, etc. One time i even lost an autocalc battle with nothing but like 10 units of heavy cav against peasants. :/
I know i can use the auto_win cheat, but that just doesnt feel fair. Plus, while you can ensure victory that way, the casualties are always lopsided (when you win, you REALLY win).

I play for pleasure. If I don't feel like fighting a battle, i don't fight it, whatever the outcome is... :-)

What I find is that if you keep the strategic on medium and then the battle on hard or whatever then when you do the auto battle you will get more acceptable results that compare to your own fighting results.
On Very Hard the machine gives outrageous results on auto battle.

But on medium AI is so hopeless that I end up conquering half of the world before i reach gunpowder era... No challenge, no fun...

I mostly auto-calc my sieges since, to me, it takes way to long to complete one and there might be ram issues etcetera.
Field battles are another matter, the main reason I play. Good, clean fun even if the AI never stands a chance.

The spacing 4.0 introduced makes AI fight in field more than ever, that's great...
