Default GPU overheating - do you know how to deal with it???

How to prevent the GPU from overheating or what to do if it already happened?

    1. Pray nothing was damaged
    2. Clean the dust out of your case, especially off fans
    3. Benchmark your GPU to both compare performance to what you should be getting and identify if you'll overheat in such situations
    4. If so, open the side of your case, point a desk fan at it, and wait for summer

I've heard that overheating might be caused by insufficient power-supply but don't know if it is true?. Right now I had 360W power but begin to think about buying new one up to 500W.

I haven't heard of that particular cause...

Regardless, what are your system specs?

What's your idle temperature (accessed through the driver)?

Can you post any of the error messages?

Normally the symptoms of the video card overheating is when your playing games the textures start to go all funny (graphically corruption). If a game crashes and gives you an error message it driver related.
