Recommend a particular Laptop for Gaming?

I have a notebook that I run Company of Heroes ( Medium Graphics Detail) and M2:TW (Mostly medium, large unit size). They both run well, no lagging at all. I'm not 100% on the spec of my notebook I think its got an Intel Core Duo 1.6Ghz, Nvidia 256mb dedicated graphics and 1GB ram, I'll check when I get home. Basically I know if I try anything more demanding I'm gonna start having problems. I need to use a notebook too because I'm in college moving around a lot etc.

So when Company of Heroes: Opposing fronts comes out and Kingdoms will I need to upgrade? They are both DX10 I think and in particular I'm worried about running COH:OF with its new weather effects. Also if I need to get a new notebook, what would be the asking price for my old laptop if I were to sell it? ( Based on the info I gave )

You get no lagging in CoH? I run a Core 2 DUo @ 3Ghz with 1Gb ram and a Radeon x1900 XT on high detail and I have to wait ages for it to load custom games.

Well like I said I don't have it set to high. Wish I could though it looks :wub: amazing.

If you can run COH well then your notebook should be able to handle most games out, or due out. Both of the expansions you mentioned will simply support DX10, while still supporting DX9.

Many things come into play as to how a game will ultimately run that are completely out of our control. A game with relatively high minimum specs may run better than a game with much lower specs because it is simply written or engineered better.
