Well, here's a look at my current Roman Empire. I'm playing H/H, non-historical (grabbed reforms asap to see how it went), haven't declared war on anybody (yet ), but do intend to finish off Gaul and Carthage for attacking me. Would like to finish off current opponents and finish building a western empire before looking east. But take a look at Macedon...they ran to the Baltic, had lots of armies (18+ at my spies last count), and were on the march. Then the Germans attacked, they have cut off almost 5 Macedonian full stacks...and must have suffered terrible casualities. I can only find about 10 Macedonian armies now...what's not trapped in Germania are moving south again to my frontier with them. I'm tempted to attack while they are reeling, so someone talk me out of it and keep to my original plan...and let the east shake out...hehe
Pic shows a reinforcement fort for 3 of the 4 Legions attacking Gaul.
My current campaigning...
2 Legions (VI Ferrata and XIII Gemina) campaigning in Spain.
4 Legions (XII Fulminata, III Gallica, XV Primigenia, and VIII Augusta) campaigning in Gaul.
2 Tarentum Hoplite "Allied" Armies boxing in Free Peoples of Genava.
1 Legion (XXI Rapax) guarding northern frontier.
3 Legions (XV Apollinaris, XVI Flavia Firma, IV Flavia Felix) and 2 "Mercenary" Armies guarding Macedonian frontier.
2 Legions (III Italica Concors and VII Claudia)...newly raised, originally for Macedonian action, but on ships bound to Crete...it's weak at the moment, and keeps spitting out Free People's Navy ships. Plus a good jump point for future action in east.
3 "Auxilia/Garrision" Legions (Spearmen, Archers, Cavalry, etc...) campaigning in Africa...it's a backwater campaign at the moment. Just taking things at my convenience.
Only other unit being built at the moment is the I Praetorian Legion in Rome....slowly
Oh, here's a shot of the cut off Macedonians...lots of Germans between them and safe territory.

I just made an account . I started a new Roman campain, the year is 275 and I have all of Italy exept Cannae and Croton. I have made the First Republican legion led by Tiberius and the Seacond led by Amulius
@dvk901 Thanks Man, on my other Roman Campian I am starting to "Pacify" Gaul with X Gemina. My Favrite legion btw.
Just started, more or less. I was working my way north but decided the Tyrhennian needs to be a Roman sea so I'm trying to fortifty the north and west, problem is, the north gets pretty tricky to fortify so I keep on pushing north to try to find the perfect gap to build a fort in.
I'm thinking of writing a little AAR about my push towards Illyria, if I can feel comfortable with my positions in the north. Great mod team, most fun I've had in ages.
Well my campaign in western europe is finally finished.
Had an unexpected problem at Tara where a rebellion resulted in a huge veteran free people army taking on my inexperienced Legio XXII
One legion is still tied up in Iberia, taking on Hannibal no less
Few have been returned to their AOR's for retraining becuase they were pretty low in numbers, being proper up only by auxilia.
This pic is of my legions massing on the Dacia border, until i decide what to do with them. Any ideas? Should I take Cathage or march across Europe?
Keep in mind i'm looking for decent chokepoints so I can pace my advance.

take the rebel region south of dacia, just to finish off your european campaign, but beware of the bosphorans and dacians. you should then ship your guys across to carthage, kick their heads in, then secure west africa, before heading east across towards cyrenaica. also, start invading asia minor - begin with mytilene and Rhodes, so that you've got good naval bases near the mainland, from which you can launch attacks. you should march eastwards along turkey and egypt at the same time, and join up somewhere around judaea. oh, and take crete and cyprus too - income galore. then you can invade dacia, and maybe the bosphoran kingdom as well. that's what i'd do, anyways!
