    Default New Video Card

Well, as of now these are my system specs:

    AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (socket 939)
ASUS A8V Delux (Motherboard) AGP version 3.0 transfer reate 8.0x
    Dual 1025 MB DDR memory
    Nvidia 6600 GT 128 MB

I'm looking for something at a reasonable price. Pref under $100, but if its worth paying a few extra bucks then I suppose I could. Do you think that a new graphics card would make a big difference with games. (Mainly games like Total war)

    Also, I think that I have PCI-E, but I'm not 100% sure.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, so many thanks in advance.

I believe a revision of that board might have offered PCI-E, look in your manual to find out.

Here is a list of AGP cards sorted from most-least expensive.

    Maybe this card?

Well, in my manual it says Revised Edition V2, does that mean I have PCI-E? Because I think that I do have PCI-E then.

    EDIT:
It turns out that I do have 1 PCI-E slot, so that expands my options. Could I run two graphics card at once (one AGP and one PCI-E) and would it make a difference?

I've been looking at this one:

Yea, but do I have the capability to run PCI-E2? And wouldn't it be very expensive when it first comes out?

    Hey dude how've you been.

Yeah well it looks like you have AGP.

Do you plan on upgrading your computer anytime soon? If so you'll have to throw away your GFX card as any new mobo is going to be PCI-E. I don't know how much better a card you're going to get for AGP than a 6-series, I would maybe hold off upgrading if that's your intent (ie, you're upgrading and not replacing because your video card is dying or dead).

As for your specific question I will leave it to more qualified people, but I'd just check the NewEgg reviews.
Count no man happy until he is dead.
