    Default The 1.2 solution thread.....

Basically a lot of people are still having issues with 1.2 so instead of getting a lot of pm's . I'll just start a thread on it. Basically if you have an issue with 1.2 post it and any information on it i'll try and assist you.

crashes the moment i open the game. I basically unpacked the files into my original data folder, after that my game just stopped working, i deleted both new geo files btw. It's just not working, after thinking about how the files worked the first time , i think it's probably because i did not apply 1.1...
not sure tho, because reinstalling is in process as we speak

here is my log from before

Start with a clean install MTW2 (no errors) and then patch 1.2 towards the end of patching process, get voice1.dat error (missing or invalid) and installer quits...
Have download new patrch file. (same error)
patched 1.1 then 1.2. (same error)
searched countless threads on different sites, tried the fixes (same error)
    I would appreiate any help.

try the cure all for m2tw reinstalls

    1. completely uninstall the game and even delete the game folder.

    2. start-->run--> "regedit"--> find the sega medieval2 folder.
*****IMPORTANT***** ONLY DELETE THE MEDIEVAL 2 FOLDER!!!! i cannot stress that enough.

    3. reinstall game, then install 1.2..... ***do not install 1.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***

This should fix it, the problem usually is that even after you uninstall the game will still be on your computer thinking its 1.2

    I have uninstalled mtw2.
    used a reg cleaner.
all folders of mtw2 are gone.
    reinstall mtw2.
    patch 1.2 (error voice1.dat)
patch installer quits and the game doesn't run.

Using a crack will break your game.

They are illegal for a reason (that's a hint not to discuss them anymore)

I have the voice1.dat error everytime I try to patch to 1.2.

I have tried everything on these forums I think, uninstalls (cleaning reg manually) I'vbe run memtest to see if its a bad ram causing an issue EVERYTHING! (keep in mind I'm only using two examples, I have tried many more things!)

as it stands I can either play 1.0 with all its unspecified errors and other issues or not play at all.

its sad. never had any problems with rome (except the occasional and rare unexplained ctd).

if anyone has a fix please post it.
