    Default to slow in battle!!

    i not understand why my games in battle is very very slow now..hmmmm...why? how fixes this problem?

    PS: on MTWII battle is ok.
    Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

    i think its because we dont have sprites yet. so when you zoom out, its still trying to render everything and every detail of all the units. so the more units in view, the more slow it becomes. i think.

    hahaha man there was me puzzled as to why my new geforce 8500 was strugling with this mod when i had max units in the battle whilst oblivion was running with max graphics you helped me out here

    Actually most units have sprites (just check the DMB), they just aren't necessarily the correct sprites. The reason even high end video cards choke is because if you have max units, that 9 armies of 20 units of 243 men = 43740 men your video card needs to render for the battle, not to mention the terrain itself. There aren't that many characters in all of Oblivion, and you'll never get them all on screen at the same time.

    my video card is nvidia GeForce 7300 LE 512mb
    3,2 GHz and 2 GB ram

    i maybe must re-install RTW and RS..i never have problem before in battle,first now yesterday.

    i can not find what bad/problem with this sloooooooow in battle

    with MTWII not problem!! but on RTW Grrrrrr.

    I am still useing a 6800 GTO 256mb, with a 3.4 ghz cpu and 2gigs of memory on an Dell XPS Gen 3 system. I play on high and So far I can field 4 armys with little or no problems to speak of. I have not updated to the new hotfix yet.

    Bridge battles are a big problem...you must not BLOCK the bridge with your army or it will slow badly. I've also had random trouble with the Germans...I don't know why. If they have 2-3 three armies on the field, it will slow badly also, but not any other faction.

    Hit escape and set all video settings to as low as they can get for those battles and it will be OK. Then just set them back up for the next ones.
