Kingdoms Hotseat Campaign; Can someone break it down for me?

Can someone please explain oto me this co-operative campaign multiplayer on Kingdoms?

Do you need two computers? Can 1 person be Faction A and 2nd be Faction B?

Can you play a campaign online with this hotseat feature?

I really don't understand how this is going to work. I've been searching google for some information breakdown but alot of the sites I need to get at are blocked. Plus I've been shifting through a ton of posts here and not finding much.

Whats making it confusing is this "custom multiplayer mod's" that people make.

I'm trying to get some information on Kingdoms new feature.

I'm pretty sure if you really wanted to you could play 15 factions on the one computer by yourself. A lot of people use hotseat to play 2 factions (with your brother or something) on the one computer and others take their turn then save then send it over the net for another person to make his factions turn.

In MTW there is a cheat to enable you to shift factions in game. I wish it was here so I can build things unique to one faction,then have my main faction take it over later ^_*,ie Banks,Printing press,Sanitation,Caravan stops etc. I saw a post refering to 'control...faction' command,but not sure if only hotseat feature?
