anywho the only know ways to cure the disease or to make yourself immune is one of 2 ways
1.be born with the immunity with is genetic

2. eat the flesh of someone with the immunitiy which can they be past on to your children

they also mention that th amount of people with this gene from study said gene does make sense of it just pasting down gentics but for it to get to as many people as it has there must have been Recent " last 10,000"( i think) Wide Spread Cannibalism within the human race
