    Default add unit of a faction to another one

    hy, noble Chevaliers
    scuse first about my poor english so im a french man...
    So, i try to add the hashishim unit for Timurids, than i made playable without bugs, but i dont succes this party : (think the problem is about mesh but i dont know what to do). Thanks for your help

    you need to change these 2 values to the number in red. I think if you dont the game wont even load. But start there first.

    no, it dont load :d
    a precision, i duplicate and rename the 3 necessary files in unit_sprites, based on moors (or turks..) in the original data these :
    timurids_hashishim_sprite.spr
    timurids_hashishim_sprite_000.texture
    timurids_hashishim_sprite_001.texture

    I think your mistakes are in these lines:

    should be:
    68 unit_models/_Units/ME_Leather_Lamallae_Brigadine/hashishim_lod0.mesh 121
    68 unit_models/_Units/ME_Leather_Lamallae_Brigadine/hashishim_lod1.mesh 900

    I hope this helps... Otherwise, check if all numbers before evey line are correct.

    EDIT: forget what i said above, I have just seen there is actually no "lod3" for hashishim, therfore the lines should be :

    also check the numbers, before your "timurid" lines. They must be esactly the number of letters and numbers in this line.

    it dont start... do i need to duplicate the sprite of one and rename it like timurids_Hashishim_sprite.spr ? from turks_Hashishim_sprite.spr for example ?

    so its always start with the original battle_models...

    your character count for the sprites is off...

    Using the turkish sprite, I got the following code to work:

    yau talk about duplicate the sprite found in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\unit_sprites ?
    or you just modify something to the battle_models.modeldb ?

    Yeah !! all works fine now, i have just use the unpacker tool after installing SS4, so forgot tot remove 2 files, and modify the shortcut and IT S WORK VERY FINE NOW !!! thx for all

    that's strange, o____o, it shouldn't be able to run, wait a min, is there even a timurid texture anyways??? i personally just used a texture from another faction, like the halbert militia from timurids, i gave them to mongols (cause they are the best and timurids does not deserve them, ), anyways, i just gave them the timurids texture.
    so i don't get it, do they have textures for every factions??? or timurids just have it for hashashim?

    i use one of islamic faction, like Turks, so it works fine with Turks one.
    I try to copy & rename one of this but its dont necessary (thanks to OTZ)

    that texture isn't unit specific, so in this case, it's the timurid texture being applied to the Hashishim mesh/model
