HELP i cant play battles

for some strange reason i cant play battles and also when i downloaded this there was no icon on my desktop only an thing in the directory which did it but why cant i play battles here are some line of my system.log

1. What battles do you mean, in hotseat mode, or in normal campaign?

2. Have you installed over a clean non-cracked version of M2TW 1.2.

i have the sameproblem in the vanilla and all other mods....

whats hotseat mode but in the mod i cant play battles thats in custom and in campaing but i can in vanilla but ive recently found out(2 mins ago)that for some reason for M2TW i cant play battles if i start it with an icon but before i could like 2 months ago so im not sure what is going on and i know its not ur mod because this soughta started before i downloaded it and no i am using the cd and yes it was a clean installation
